Have you worked on Angular performance optimization for large or complex applications?
AngularPerformanceFrontend
β Yes β performance tuning on large Angular applications is a documented part of my practice.

Technical detail
- π§ Change detection β adopting
OnPushacross presentational components, removing expensive template functions/getters, using pure pipes and signals for derived values, and detaching change detection for high-frequency widgets. - π¦ Bundle and loading β route-level lazy loading, deferrable views (
@defer) for below-the-fold modules, tree-shaking-friendly imports (no barrel-file overreach), build-optimizer and AOT in production, source-map exploration of bundle size, and budget thresholds that fail CI on regressions. - π Rendering β CDK virtual scrolling for long lists/tables,
trackBy/trackto avoid re-creating DOM nodes, avoiding layout thrashing, and paginating or windowing server-driven data sets. - π Network and data β request de-duplication and caching with
shareReplay, cancellation of stale requests, HTTP interceptors with retry/backoff, optimistic UI updates, and keeping payloads lean with projection/filtering server-side. - π Measurement β Chrome DevTools performance profiles, Angular DevTools, Lighthouse metrics and real-user monitoring to find the real bottleneck (scripting vs. rendering vs. network) before optimising.
π― Outcome on past projects: materially faster time-to-interactive, smoother interaction on mid-range devices, and a maintainable codebase where performance rules are encoded in linting, budgets and review checklists rather than relying on individual heroics.
