Have you designed Entity-Relationship diagrams, database schemas, API contracts, component/service architecture, or complex business workflows?
Data ModellingAPI DesignArchitecture
β Yes β I have produced all of these artefacts and treat them as first-class deliverables of the design phase.

Technical detail
- ποΈ ER diagrams and database schemas β conceptual/logical/physical models, normalisation with justified denormalisation, referential integrity, keys and constraints, indexing plan, audit/history tables, partitioning strategy and migration scripts for relational engines (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and document/graph stores where appropriate.
- π API contracts β resource models, endpoints and payloads, status/error semantics, pagination and filtering conventions, versioning and authentication flows, published as OpenAPI/GraphQL schemas so front-end, QA and partners integrate against a frozen contract.
- ποΈ Component/service architecture β bounded contexts and service decomposition, layer and module diagrams, integration maps (sync vs. event-driven), dependency and data-ownership rules, deployment topology and cross-cutting concerns (security, caching, observability).
- π Complex business workflows β swimlane and state diagrams for multi-actor processes, approval chains, SLA timers, exception/compensation paths and notifications β then implemented as orchestrated sagas or workflow engines.
π Tooling: UML/ER modelling tools, C4-style diagrams, PlantUML/Mermaid-as-code artefacts kept in the repository next to the implementation, so documentation evolves with the code instead of rotting in a shared drive.
π§Ύ CV evidence: CV: business modelling, architectural mechanisms and design-pattern competencies; ER/schema work across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and NoSQL platforms; SOA/BPEL/BPM workflow design (Oracle BPM, Bonita BPM integration) in the enterprise track.
