Have you conducted technical design reviews and code reviews for other developers?
Code ReviewLeadershipQuality
✅ Yes — design and code review are core to how I raise quality across a team.
Technical detail
- 📐 Technical design reviews — reviewing HLD/LLD before implementation: is the architecture sound, are boundaries and contracts right, are data model and migration safe, are security and performance addressed, are failure modes covered, is there a simpler option? I record outcomes and follow up on action items.
- 🔍 Code reviews — pull-request review focused on correctness, readability, SOLID adherence, error handling, security (injection, secrets, authorization, input validation), performance (queries, allocations, N+1, async misuse), test coverage and consistency with team conventions — with constructive, specific comments that explain the reasoning.
- 🧾 Review infrastructure — shared checklists and definition of done, small pull requests, automated gates (lint, tests, coverage, static analysis, dependency scanning) so humans review design and logic instead of formatting; review SLAs so nobody is blocked.
- 🤝 Mentoring through review — pairing on complex changes, explaining patterns and trade-offs, following up to confirm learnings stick, and using review as a teaching moment rather than a gate-keeping exercise.
- ♻️ Retrospective improvement — defects and review comments tracked to find recurring root causes, then fixed systemically through lint rules, templates, library improvements or training sessions.
🎯 Outcome: fewer production defects, consistent codebases across contributors, and developers who grow faster because feedback is immediate and reasoned.
🧾 CV evidence: CV: Technical Lead Team/Senior Java Developer leading 5-10 engineers, assistance and training of development teams, coordination and verification/tracking tasks with SCRUM/JIRA, and senior roles with review responsibility across 24 roles.
